Im running 2 12" JL w3v2 and a 500/1 my factory alt. was 90 amps..... i need you guys opinions on what size alt. i would need to run my stuff, im thinkin about going through irragi....thakns for the help
Mat Dope ***** Gold Member Username: Adddisorder West palm, Florida Post Number: 3611 Registered: Jan-06	Posted on Monday, March 05, 2007 - 23:04 GMT if that was the only amp your running you should have been fine, maybe there was some issues with your alt. befor. i would upgrade the big 3 wiring and get your alt rebuilt locally or buy a new stock if you dont plan on upgrading. also if your battery good?

Mat Dope ***** Gold Member Username: Adddisorder West palm, Florida Post Number: 3620 Registered: Jan-06	Posted on Tuesday, March 06, 2007 - 02:07 GMT hehe sorry had to take care of some stuff. your car at max should probly only draw 60a. your amp draws at peak 50a unless you bump hard putting the amp near its limits with head lights and ac then it will draw more then your alt can put out. you seem to be on the border line for needing an ho alt. when your alt worked fine what kind of voltage drop did you get?
