I am looking for a chart that shows the insulative properties of various materials like rubber, glass, fiberglass, human body, etc. The reason why is because I saw an old article of 9 people dying due to using wire for kite lines and flew into power lines (4200V @60hz). Now the thing is I think they were barefooted because a 1/2" of rubber is quite insulating when it comes to voltage unless it is at a much higher voltage and or frequency IE 4.2 Kilohertz. I think it took place in iran or something where they have a big kite festival but also a country that rarely wears footware. Any thoughts.. Polo.. :-O ?

hmm dont know never seen a chart or anything, like you said with shoes you should be ok, but why do you need wire line on a kite, why can you just use nylon or something

It was a festival called last man standing where each opponent uses there kite line to cut the others out of the sky. It took place in Pakistan so we know they were either barefooted or wore flipflops... Polo.. :-O
