It's wierd, cuz it doesn't smell burnt.
the voice coils don't sound burnt and still springy that it should be.
the tinsel leads look good where they're visible.
what's uP???

it's a diamond audio d3 10" and i can't see under the spider... what do you guys think it is and what should i do?

thanks.

maybe the amp? did you hook different subs to that

Answer:
Yes, I did... I've moved on to many other subs since then... but I still don't know what happened to the Diamond Audio D3!!!
It doesn't smell burnt...
the cone still feels springy like it should...
i don't hear scraping sounds when i push the cone downwards...
the tinsel leads are still making contact (where it's visible)...
although, I can't see under the wavy spider... if anybody else knows the D3 - you know what I mean.

so, how do i get under there without ruining the sub? how do i disassemble it to investigate further?

does anybody know what the problem could be???
please help.

thanks.

Put a DMM on it and see what the coils read.
