Amp bypass harness?

is there such a thing. a friend of mine just got a 2004 honda civic and wants to keep the stock radio but adding an amp and sub. i have seen alot of people running and amp and sub off their stock HU but i didnt know what kind of harness they were using. any can help me out on where to find one?

When you need is called a JL audio cleansweep, or similar device.

It will remove any equalization or other unwanted crap from the factory stereo's signal, and allow you to add aftermarket amplifiers.

Oh ok, but a converter like that will still not work on some factory stereos where the signal has already been run through built in EQs, X-overs, etc.
