I almost lost my thumb in a bandsaw accident about a year ago. Finished my cut, turned the saw off, then went to brush the saw dust off the table while the blade was still moving. Bad expeirience. 12 stitches.
No lie. My first run in with a table saw I was pulling a piece through from the back side. Always a bad idea. Blade caught the piece, and my hand. It pulled my hand into the blade and sent my hand upward. I have no thumb print on my left hand. I was 18. To this day there is a spray of dried blood on the ceiling of my parent's basement under the saw. It was "bad". Ironically, it was the same hand I cut with my bandsaw. Where's my badge?
Paul, The title says he fucked it with a jigsaw... And that was not my cut. I got it from another forum. Guy cut it on a piece of glass in the sink washing dishes. Lol Logan. just messing with you. So, was that cut from the blade? What happened? Were you changing the blade and drop it, and the loose blade fall on your leg?
a kid at school had a teacher slam a door in his face. caught his finger in it and took the end of it off, from right behind his finger nail up....they had to scrape it off the edge of the door to take to the hospital and hav it put bak on.
About a week ago i stabbed the sh!t outta myself with my butterfly knife, i dont know if i needed stitches cuz i didnt go to the doc. It went like 1 to 1 and a half inches in my leg. Blood all over i wuz like damn!
few yrs ago i was using a laminate trimmer (mini router)holding it upside down since what i was routing was heavy 4 me 2 flip over - vibrations of the router caused it to slip down from my hands & my 2 thumbs went into the blade ! ,was a flushing cutting blade so it only "flush cut" the sides of my thumbs
i quietly turned off the machine & wrap my thumbs in some napkins , awoke my mom & told her i got damaged & walked over to a health centre which wasnt too far from my house ,they bandaged it & sent me home with some medication
healed back really good that u cant see any mark .....
At my last job, radial arm saw binded, jumped off it's rail and threw the material at me. It bounced off my thumb and hit me in the chest. Broke the top bone in my thumb and cut the hell off it. You can see that line of blood going diagonally underneath the nail is where the bone fractured. The whole nail fell off a couple days after that pic and never did grow back properly
You guys think that hurts, then just imagine what my grandpa went though when he had to cut his own arm off with a pocket knife when it got caught in a corn picker at five o'clock in the morning and nobody else around. And then had to walk a mile back to the house to tell get help.

damn marc that would suck. when i was cutting the hole for the sub I was trying to hold the cut out from falling in the box. Well, it did fall in the box, and i dont know what i did. But my hand inded up bleeding.
