Well I'm looking for a subwoofer. Here's what I need. I need a subwoofer (18") with high Xmax (over 25mm) that can take at least 500w that's around $300. The reasons I'm using it for won't require more than 600w power handling from each sub because it'll be an IB system (in a house). I just figured you guys would know a good driver. I've been recommended the Fi Q because of it's Xmax capabilities. The people who recommended it have used them and could reach over 120dB at 10hz at the seat.

I just supplied some info so you could maybe supply info for a good sub.

Logan, a house (as you may know) requires much more output and the more displacement, the better. A lot of times, a 6.5" in the car can have more bass than a theater (under certain circumstances). I'm just sayin'. The Fi Q (in 4's usually) has gotten a lot of praise when paired with a Behringer EP-2500 supplying the watts.

Are you sure there aren't other subs that may fit the purpose better?

From what I hear, the Q by a slight margin. I believe it in HT Andre. Unless you are very critical, you won't notice the difference.

I'm more of a music fan. Of course, if it's an IB I don't have to worry about that.
