here ya go killa, the pics you requested of the blowthru.Like i said use a sawzall if you can get one,if not make sure you got several jigsaw blades.maybe youll get lucky and your back wall will only be 1 layer thick, not 2 at the top like mine(see in the pics how the boot widens at the top).now i need to brace between the cab and bed because of the flex.my 1 10 in makes the wall move about 1 inch.lost some support by cuttung wall out.But im very pleased with the out come, now I can go from the 1 10L5 to whatever I want.Oh,all you reg cab owners, thats how you get a deep sub behind the seat w/out losing leg room.build the sub out, then take the stuffing out of the seat(in the middle where nobody sits)then the seat will go all the way back.nobody can see your stuff.
Isn't the purpose of a blow through so that the box comes out the other side allowing you to have more cubic feet for your sub? What you did was entirely unnescessary.
i too was confused looking @ this since i was expecting like the box OUTside the cabin with sub\port firing INside the cabin that way u can have the box large as it needs to be without using up ur cabin space (of course u need to weatherproof the box & joining where it enters the cabin .....
got a shell, leer fiberglass.was gonna remove the back window of the cab and boot it to the shell instead of the blowthru but the guys at the campershell place said that the window was glued in and i would have to have a glass shop remove it...$$$$ naaa.plus i still wanted to be able to see out the back window. the cutout is 13x 32 inches,2 12s will fit nicely there, ported ofcorse.
ya i did it yesterday...I couldnt get no support either so I just had to start cutting.I just traced the shape and started cutting..took about 3 hours from start to finish.its a 95 gmc sonoma.its not a valuble truck.I dont know if id do it to a new truck though.
