sorry I do not offer plans.

Word on the street (ok, TTB's forum) is they will no longer be offering plans... much for the same reason I don't offer plans.

I have no comment on that matter, btw :-)

hey Mark i noticed all the boxes on ur thread seem to be painted inside - is the reason to seal off the wood pores thus increasing output ?

i know some ppl do this rather than doing the expensive\messy resin route .....

Some are painted, some are sealed with various materials, some are left bare MDF. Resin has its place, but it doesnt fit with most of the designs I build.

Through testing I figured out what worked where and why :-)

Mark, from my experience here, you will find that this is one of the nicest forums. People here actually try to help each other and dont bash on each other like the other forums unless its in a fun way. Nice to have you!

Different vehicles and equipment call for different designs. Generally put, whatever shape/form the box is, is best for that application. The vehicle is integrated into the box design, if that makes sense, its more than just what "fits".

Otherwise, i'd put some more $ in my pocket and keep making the same boxes over and over for different cars :-)

The "box pics" page showcases:

1 orion h2 box
1 adire brahma box
1 RF t2 box
1 ID max box
1 MTX 4000 box
1 kicker CVX box
4 kicker L7 boxes
1 Kicker CVR box
2 RE SX boxes
4 type R boxes

17 boxes, roughly half L7 and Type R boxes.

The vids page:

2 L7 boxes
1 RE SX box
1 audioque HD box
1 memphis box
6 type R boxes

A little more swayed there, but thats just pulling from available and "impressive" vids :-).

Its not because TCAB builds "exclusive" for L7/type R, its because they are popular and proven. Consider that more R's and L7's are sold than every woofer FI, AQ, DD, MMATS, RE and such make, combined, maybe even x5.

The TCAB design neither embraces nor ignores any particular woofer.

That should answer your Q :-)
