i was puttin my system in my newer car i got and when i was looking for the battery under the hood i couldnt find it. Turns out the battery was in the trunk for some reason but anyway leads me to my question... cut the power or keep it and long rolled up, or wouldnt it matter?
If you were talking about the power wire from the battery to the amp, I say cut it for sure! The longer the wire length, the less current flows through.
