If your talking about the stereo in your room, I have one with a sub output running 140 watts @ 8 ohms. It runs pretty clean at 4 ohms on my havoc and I get complaints from the neighbors occasionally

it would prolly harm it still, you forget of the output freq. it would most likly get from that it puts out 22hz-28000hz in most cases on regular speaker outputs.. subs cant handle alot of that right

some stereos can have their rear channels bridges and will power a small sub...

some not all...

be careful man u might blow the output channels of the cd player
