I just bought 2 12" mtx 9512-44 subs, a kicker zx 1500.1 amp, and a Phoenix Gold R8.0:4 4 channel amp. Should this system sound good? Could i have chosen better amps for the same price?
the zx is nice. but ur subs are dual 4ohm, im assumin thats wat the -44 stands for. which means u can wire to 1ohm or 4ohm....that amp isnt supposed to b ran at 1ohm, so you'll hav to run at 2ohm, which means you'll get about 750watts, compared to 1500 if u could run it at 2ohms(isnt possible with 2 dual 4ohm subs)
you will need some charging system upgrades. alternator and battery. Those need more power anyway. A friend of mine has a MTX TA92001 (3000 watts rms) pushing one mtx 9512.
