we all know reason 4 resining inside a box is to seal off the wood pores thus making the box airtight & it also adds some degree of stiffness\strength to a box

BUT - i was wondering ,say ur box already has been well braced & u just want to seal the wood pores , i heard some ppl painting inside their box with OIL\Gloss paint ! supposidly it will do the same sealing in theory but does this make sense really ?????

resin is quite pricy & messy to work with - so if painting will do the same job making it cheaper/less messy
: is that a yay or a nay !??????........

yay if you got the box well braced. i know your box will be well braced so i think anything that will just make the wood smooth for you will work.

fumes FTW. i can't believe you don't like that smell. i like the smell of resin, super glue, gasoline, etc.....

i don't get high off of it. i just like the smell.
