I have gone through my fair share of enjoying a pure SPL system but have recently become interested in starting a SQ based system in my new car. I am a newbie to this kind of system, can anyone please point me in the right direction? Also, im trying to look into underground subs not known to regular markets like best buy, custom sounds, flee market etc. Any advice? Thxs

What's your budget? I assume you know this can get very expensive. Anyways, look into JL W6v2, ID Max, Rainbow, Fi.Q, Focal... the list goes on. Give us a budget and we'll try to suit your needs.

well if you can find one i'd go with a dd9100, but if you can't i'd stick with the ID max, or JL w6 both are amazing sq subs.

sealed is good for sound quality but i still love a ported box tuned low. id max, jl w6v2, and fi audio Q are all 3 very respected SQ subs. if you can follow a design for a sealed box you can follow one for a ported one...
