does this setup work: Kicker ZX1000.1 ZX with IDMAX-12D2

the idmax's are 12d2... can that ohmage work with the zx? i knwo nothing about this stuff

the idmax is dual 2 ohm right?

if so then no, the zx kicker amps are 2 ohm stable and a dual 2 ohm sub can be wired to only 1 ohm or 4 ohm...

no. the zx line is 2ohm stable so you'd have to get a dual 4ohm sub to work with it.

okay so what's an amp that's $200-$330 that's high quality and would be good for them? i think the ideal rms for them is 750?

Ok some bad answers here,

yes the sub can be wired to 4 ohms mono, but you will not be getting the most of that amp, since it is optimized for 2 ohms mono.

Julian you said idmax's and them so do you have 2 subs or 1 b/c if you do have 2 that amp would work

kicker kx 1200.1 or memphis (any 1000w rms model at 1 ohm)
