If you have an amp that has speaker-level input, and you still choose to connect that amp to your speakers using line-out-converter (LOC), is it true that the LOC method would give better sound volume and quality than doing it through speaker-level input?

I'm still unsure of this. Those genius Circuit City techs told me that LOC gives better sound volume and quality than speaker-level input. Please help me clarify this, folks. Thank you.

gustavo, yes you are right. The best sound would be if you have a head-unit that has subwoofer rca inputs.

Foong, speaker level input and LOC work the same way. To say one is better than the other is a moot point. If you're into SQ, then use RCA.
To answer your question, LOC is a bit better than speaker level input cause some LOCs come with gain control, thus lowering your chances of picking up distortion/noise.
