I drive a 97 Prelude and have always been reluctant to accomodate the weight of subs in my trunk. If the current sytem I have amped up doesn't please me then Ill move onto subs. Right now I just need help finding the best amp I can for $220 or under. Thanks for the help. |

I put some serious thought into what you suggested a few months ago, and from the people I talked to it only works well if you run subs and an audiophile quality amp. I have a home recording studio that im a few grand into. Spending that kind of dough in my car never even entered my mind. I could spend 6k on an amp right now if I wanted to. Not gonna happen though. One thing thats always blown my mind about any car audio forum is how people looking for real cheapo crap always get tons of input. Im always willing to spend twice as much and I always get the "save, buy better sh*t" response. Just looking to spend a max of $220 on an amp. Most companies producing amps I've never even heard of. Besides your Alpines and your Rockfords its all new to me. |

Im trying to decide between that amp and an Alpine one (Ill post the link below). I figure the Alpine might be a better idea, and worth the extra dough because Im already running an Alpine HU and Type-Rs in the back. Heres the link. Unfortunatly there weren't many of these great cars made. Even more unfortunate is the fact that the previous owner absolutly mauled the wiring inside this vehicle. I'm off to tear some things apart. Thanks for the feedback, Ill more than likely go with the PPI amp now. |
