Well i bought a headunit off somebody (Panasonic CQ-DFX683U). hooked it up.. and... nothing... im assuming something happened while shipping or whatever .. but is there anyway of testing it or checking it? to see whats wrong with it to diagnos the problem?... my other question is.. do you think a local shop would be able to test it and/or fix it if there is something internally wrong?
they may be able to. How did you hook it up? IT coulda had a bad connection. Try attaching it directly to the battery. Red&Yellow straight to battery( + ), Black straight to battery (- ) or to frame. If nothin happens the it may be fried or jus broke. Also, you may want to check you fuses, and possibly use a test light to see if u even have power where u were tryin to hook the CD player up.
