whats the difference? if any? and what size sheet would i need to build a 24x20x14 box?

mdf = good for boxes
pb = crap

it would crumble and blow away if you put a sub in it.

mdf is more dense and tougher.

a single large sheet would be more than enough for that size.

thanks a lot guys. im pretty sure PB is what peeps in the audio shops around here use to sell to newb's. i cant wait to get my SD2.5 here!

do you need to use high density mdf or is med. ok? and how do you find the cuft? i know you have to subtract the sub's cuft but i have no idea on how to find the cuft

cu ft is just what it says it is, you just multiply the three dimentions of the box and minus the volume of the port and subwoofer.

(length x width x height) = Volume

And MDF is what it stands for, Medium Density Fiberboard, this will work fine for any box you wanna build. You wanna get at least 3/4 inch in width though, the 1/2 inch mdf is kinda weak.
