Phoenix Gold X1200.1 vs. Orion 1200D

Silver Member Username: QbenjaminFlorida Post Number: 200 Registered: Nov-06 | I am torn between these two amps, I was trying to buy the PG from a seller on here, but I never heard back from him. Anywayz, I was talking to a buddy of mine at the shop and he said that the Orion 1200D would outblast the PG X1200.1 all day. I am usually an Orion man myself, but the PG X1200.1 has been praised just about as much as the JL 1000/1. The X1200.1 is also rated @ 13.8v with being able to deliver 1200w rms from 4-1 ohms. The Orion 1200D will only give 1200w rms @ 1ohm rated @ 14.4v. I need some help on this one fellaz, what do you all think? |

Gold Member Username: CtmikeCt. Post Number: 2929 Registered: Feb-06 | both are good amps, but personally i'd take the xenon. rated better and better wiring options is a plus. any chance this shop was a orion dealer and not a pg dealer? maybe he was thinking the pg octanes instead of the xenons. |
