I saw where Kevin was going to make a new thread regarding the Group Buy, but I did not actually see it here. So I thought I would help out. If this is a repost, then 1,000 apologies.

Hey Andrew, you seem to have your finger on the pulse of this situation. Any idea as to why the subs were not shipped out on the 26th or 27th?
Or why it is necessary to ship them out over a period of days as opposed to shipping them out at once?

Harry, I'm just a nosey consumer lol. I talk to Kevin on a regular basis so I've gotten a little information. Appearantly Nick has quite the load on his hands, IMO, I don't think he planned on selling quite that many lol. I couldn't tell you why they werent shipped out on those dates but they're supposed to be shipped out from last sat. until today. Nick individually is packing them and taking them to the UPS store to ship them out, he could possibly be having to make more then 1 trip and I have no clue as to how close a UPS store is to him... 34 subs don't neccessarily fit in your trunk lol. Why not a UHAUL? idk. Again, I'm not an insider or anything, this is just what I've been told.

Andrew, I think you know a LOT more than you are telling us. I think you have the subs and you are trying to hook all 34 of them up in your own trunk. Greedy bastatge.

BTW, I really am not trying to give Nick or Kevin crap about this at all. I am not in that big of a hurry. Guess I thought Big Brown could pull up and pick them all up at once. But whatever Nick needs to do is cool with me. I was just wondering what was up.

And Mr. Rob, sorry if you think that my posts meant something else. I was just released from the custody of the department of corrections and when I get around a lot of men my mind just works that way. I am trying to adjust to being out by spending more time with my goat, but sometimes I slip up.

every time i hear a truck go by i have to look outside.

im kinda pissed its taken this long because originally kevin said they would start shipping out the 16th if they had money, then he said we would have them by the 1st and yeah still no sub. not really anything anyone can do about it i under stand sh;t happens and stuff so its cool i think it just should have been a little more organized

34 total subs??? Wow. And to think there were only like 8 of us up until the last week of the sale. I've got a new laptop coming today as well as expecting the mag any day. I took off work cause those UPS fools always leave the stuff on the front porch. Oh, at least they cover it with the 1x2 mat.

well, I finally found the post ... I got mine last night. The thing is huge (remember my current car has an 8" sub in each door). I have several 12" old school subs, but I have never owned a 15" ... this is gonna be sick when I get it all hooked.

I need help with a question....
stereointegrity.com says the following regarding recomended enclosures:

"The enclosure volumes above are after port and driver displacement."

Does this mean, I need a larger enclosure than a 1.1-1.3 cu. ft. enclosure for a 12 inch sub? If so, what is the displacement of the sub?

sorry for the triple post...

I am thinking about getting this enclosure. Opinions?

I don't understand how it could be between 1.13 and 1.16^3 internal volume - thats rediculious. I don't see sub displacement on SI's website, but figure .1 to be safe. That enclosure is more than likely going to be too small, and for the love of god please do not spend $350 on ANY enclosure. Do yourself a favor and learn how to fiberglass - much more fulfilling and you can have a few bills left over for whatever. At the very least have a local car audio shop make you one - it will definitely be less than that price.

No news yet. If you will please email Nick direct for faster response. I am waiting on my return email as well and will post as soon as I get it. Hang in there guys, I'm trying.

Kevin

PS: Box wise, 1.1 after displacement is good.

MAtt:
The volume of the Audio Integrations box is supposedly in that (very small 1.13-1.16) range. What is so ridiculous about that? I guess they couldn't be exact because of the shape. The SI Mag requires 1 - 1.3 cu. ft. So, the AI box is about .01-.03 cu ft too small. I think that, while it is on the small side, it seems reasonable.

The aesthetics of that box are very nice although I agree that the price is high. I will see what I can do in regards to a local shop. If a local shop is in that same $ ball-park, I would consider going the custom route, especially if I could have it made larger.

Thanks for the input.
