It is possible..

I tried posting the link to where this is but my thread keeps getting deleted so heres links to the pictures..

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e128/ibanender/other/DSCN0075.jpg

The result on the dash sealed up:
After many MANY burps of varying power levels, from 25 watts to 2635 watts.

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e128/ibanender/other/xplod1475.jpg

After that point, we either maxed out the sub, hit power compression, or both. 3088 watts didn't get any louder, 3517 watts it started to smoke, 4115 watts it started to scratch, and 4493 did it in. So, I'm gonna get another sub and try it, 1 burp, at max power and see what number it does.

Oh, and after it started dropping score some, we decided to do it in the kick but found I gain 2 dB by closing the door. So, TBP style and sub rubbing, down at least 1 dB from peak as per our testing and started louder and got quieter during the burp, here's what it did.

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e128/ibanender/other/xplod1505kick.jpg

It's got a little more in it with a fresh sub.

So, I never wanna hear it wont take 350 daily like it claims, because we did several 4000+ watt burps on it before it died.

sorry, but I don't believe it...gotta pull the BS card on this one. no way you can get 147 with one 12 inch Sony Xplode or even 2. Those pics of the TL could have been taken from a different setup. show the whole thing together, with the Sony hooked up and with the mic on the dash, and the computer in the background with the numbers on it. I know someone that has a DD9515 and he can hit 149 with it, but
1>that is a 15inch sub
2>its a DD, which would blow your Sony away.
Not trying to flame you or anything, but I just can't beleive this one.

Anyone notice the wireless connection notice at the bottom? I know you can edit that stuff, but it does pose raising up the BS flag lol.

I'd almost have to see a video.

I'm sorry a "sealed enclosure" in side a ported one? The fact that the X-plode is in a sealed enclosure then placed inside an enclosure with all holes open to add as port area the total area would make the tune negligeable, it would be higher that the subs ability unless it is capable of playing in the K's... Not saying he is a liar but as with God, I require more proof than some inanimate pictures which could be doctored at anytime. Maybe this is why I'm an athiest, still haven't gotten any PROOF, yet.... I'm sorry if I hit 150+db on a TL with a 12" explode I would run my @ss off to Kmart and buy a bunch and make a video because I know I would fall prey to all the non-believers and for the fact he is able to afford all that equipment and not be able to make a video leaves himself open for this type of criticism (sp). SHOW ME THE MONEY! :-O JMHO... Polo.

He is not one to lie and knows his stuff :-) .. the the way it was setup was similar to a 4th order and given he did have 4000rms going to the sub.. I don't see why that is not very possible..

can it be done....YES!

That is a sealed box placed into a walled off car....what is happening is they are creating a 4th-order bandpass wall. I know of guys doing stuff like this w/ a pair of 6x9's in their wall and getting crazy results like that. (but their 'real' install is ALOT louder...hint hint)

Bandpass walls are totally different animals when it comes to SPL.

I know quite a bit about bandpass and with the amount of open surface area he had available there is no way there was any type of tune especially in the 80hz range as the TL suggests. There is something more to it. Polo...

i can burn a audiobahn a18001 like that tooo want some pics???? lol....
and wait

Polo, if i was to enclose some subs in a enclosed area and stick that box inside of a ported box... what exactly would it do, and whats the SQ\SPL

id need more proof to i have 2 pa mofo 12's i kno they are trash but still better then the xplodes and with 3K in a ported box with about 2.7cu ft. for each sub ported at 45hz and still dont get above 149 on any tests ive done... but i have to goto dumbass dealers to get the tests done :-( and they dont even know who DD, Treo, FI, or any of that is!!!! i ask what SPL subs they have and he says all i need is 3 JLW7 13's and i will hit 168db with each on its own 1000\1.... thinking the customers are dumb again i think.... and he was talking about a enclosed enclosure... does taht sound like bs or what?

hes going to plug those 15" holes in the wall..

he did another run on a fresh 12" .. 149.4dB on the dash and 151.5dB in the kick

and if you really want more proof jump over to splbassx.com forum and im sure hell send you anything you want.. seeing he did all that with a 12" just to prove someone wrong lol
