heard a rumor on ROE, is it true that Fi dual 2 ohm coils are really 1.4 ohm coils ? I really want to clear this up before I buy my amp. I just bought 2 15 Fi Q's dual 2 ohms and was thinking of wiring 'em down to a 2 ohm load, but if this rumor is true.......
dont worry about it. some companys do that. reason being box impeadance rise. for instance, if you have a dual 2 ohm sub and you wire it to one ohm, when its wired it might rise all the way up to like 3 ohms or more.
Cool, million thanks. So if I wire down my 2 subs(dual 2 ohm) to a 2 ohm load and get ,say,a 2000 w rms x 1 @ 2 ohms amp, it won't hurt one or the other, yeah ?
