hey i just did a 1/0 big 3 today and i just wanna know one thing. other than a serious problem if my alt to batt wire gets cut, is there anything wrong with running that line w/o a fuse? i think i remember an argument about this, just wanna see if there was a conclusion. btw, my alt to batt is only about 2.5ft long.

its fine without the fuse...
u dont need fuses as long as u wire everything properly, and strap them down!

ahh you see, different opinions.

i ran a 5 inch line from my batt neg to the chassis:

then a 2.5ft line from alt to pos, and that is strapped with 3 HUGE zip ties:

i ran another thats about 8 inches long from the block to the chassis:

i ground all the paint off the grounding points so there is a good connection. i used copper ring terminals and soldered them on. everything seems to be fine, though i have only driven once since the upgrade.
