You also have to remember that even though you sub is playing a 7hz tone it will resonate the cabin and each part will resonate at different frequencies do to absorption/reflectivity. The resonating frequencies given off within your cabin and will be of a mixed variety, some audible, some inaudible. This will also happen within a house, think abaout it a 130db spl@ 4HZ in a house, would be rediculously loud/noisy everything would shake to death, lol OF COURSE I HEARD IT THE CHAIR FELL OVER! :-O

No No No, there is no cutoff.

20Hz to 20,000 Hz is just a template. Everybody is different. Just like 20/20 vision, or how hot something is, or how much pain you can take, etc...

Cmon people, dont tell me that we have become this institutionalized (lol).

Some people cant hear below 30 Hz, while some people can hear down to 5 Hz.

Some older people cant hear above 16,000 Hz.

Just remember, our ears identify things logarithmically when it comes to loudness, and halves when it comes to octaves. So between 5 Hz and 10 Hz is an octave. Also between 10 Hz and 20 Hz is another octave.

If you want to know what a 1Hert test tone sounds like, just ask an ellephant, lol. :-)

dude polo im having a hard time beileiving the 130db@4hz you would have to move a sh1t load of air to get that score, i think chad, owner of AA, was only doing like mid 120db in the 15hz range and thats with 2 15inch ava's in huge ported boxes, FYI.
