I went to the comp today in Roanoake Rapids and took home second in meca and second NSPL. In meca i was in M4 and NSPL i was street 36-60" i think. Meca i did 144.7 at the headrest and in NSPL i did 144.3 at the windsheild. I was a little dissapointed but i think its pretty good considerin i have a box tuned to 33 hz and my jeep peaked out at 45 hz
well i been thinking about building a box just to drop in for competitions do subs up and port to the passenger side tuned to 45 hz i thik i can get up and play with the 147 range if i do that but i dont know...
oh yea and also Alan Dante was up there with his volvo and set a new world record...he hit 181.3 at the kick panel and 179.9 at the windsheild. I got to talk to him for a little while and he was a cool guy actually...also there was a grand cherokee up there running two DD 9918s with 8 Z2s in there running about 18 volts. he hit a little over 166 with factory front windows and windsheild.
good job goin deaf! i hit 144.86 the day b4 the comp right b4 i charged my batts and then i was there at 9am registered and everything and at 3pm they told us the meter was broke and the sound off was cancelled. now i have to wait till febuary to compete. but im going to give back the orion 2500wrms amp and just go with my crossfire amp so i can stay in a lower class.
damn richard that sucks...i think im going to build a competition only box tuned to about 45 hz to drop in and compete with and make that lower than the seats so i dont have to be in modified class for MECA...im hooked now though lol
i dont know when ill be able to post the pics..ill have to resize all of them to put on here but ill try to get them up there....and i didnt mention that alan dante was running only one 9918z when he broke the record...i talked to him for a while and he was like you tell scott owens im coming for him! lol
