Having trouble since I had a new "under the hood" battery installed in a F150 P/U with a Viper 791XV. Alarm will arm and disarm via remote. When alarm is armed the indicator on the 4 button remote remains in the "unlock graphic" When un-armed the remote also remains in the "unlock graphic" (after arming and disarming) the remote reports 3 double beeps and the signal indicator flashes. Seems that the remote is not communicating completely with the alarm. Have tried depressing arm several times to re-sync the remote and alarm as suggested in manual. Also have tried arming and disarming valet with the remote via the " open door method".
I know this probably sounds stupid, but did you try disconnecting the power on the alarm, and removing the battery from the remote and letting the system sit like that for a couple minutes?
