I have a Viper remote starter (no idea what model it is or where the heck they hid the main unit), anyways it was working fine until the batteries died in my remote and now that I've replaced them nothing ???. I'm not sure if the remote (FCC ID: EZSDEI471) controls a whole pile of Viper products or ?. It's installed in a 2001 Dodge Ram and I have looked dam near everywhere for this thing to find a model number on it. Are them some generic procedures or codes to reprogram the remote ?.

You shouldn't have to reprogram the remote just because the batteries died. Do you have a second remote to the system?

No I only recieved one with the truck - I bought it off my father-in-law a couple of years ago and only use the starter in the winter.

Does the alarm work at all? Is there any features of the remote that do work?

I believe that it's only a remote starter - no alarm so I guess none of it works now.

Try removing the battery from the remote and disconncting the battery in the truck for about 10 min. Put it all back together and see if it still does the same thing.
