i need a box for a 12" type r. ported tuned to abuot 32-35 hz id say. space is no issue. and i dont know how to deisgn boxes so someone help me out please

I'd say give it ~2 cu. ft. of net internal volume and around 40-50 sq. in. of port. Did you want a slot port, or pvc pipes?

or if you wanted you could just build it to Alpine specs.

I'll try to whip up something tonight. The #'s i gave u for port area are pretty high, but hey, i'm a port freak. I don't have my calculator w/ me so we'll see if I can throw something together.

Here's something you might consider

Upload

it's 2 cu. ft. w/ 39 sq. in. of port tuned to ~34.3hz. Oh and the width of the box (the side you cant see in the pic) is 14.5". the port is 13x3. everything is 3/4" mdf. You would mount the sub on that top sheet (although either of the sides would also work).
