OT ipod+pioneer HU

That's a really annoying thing and i don't want to end up paying like 60$ just for an Aux adapter. Remember i'm not from US territory, everything is hell expensive. The Fm modulator is another option, but the sh1t has very bad reception here and the songs sound real bad. Can i do it this way, by using a Y from the ipod to the RCA output, although the aux function will not appear

I had my mp3 player wired like that for a long time
