ok im adding another battery to my car.. i have the 1 under the hood and im in the process of putting 1 in the trunk. my dad told me to wire them in parallel to up the amperage. im gonna put the + from the batt under the hood to the + on the batt in the trunk and then to my amp. then im gonna put the - on the trunk batt to a ground in the trunk. and ive done the big 3 so is this right? thanks

That is fine.. w/e you do don't wire it in series.. you'd fry some stuff :-) .. put the battery before your inline fuse though

also.. make sure both batteries are the sane.. mixing batteries is no bueno

on another note.. I'd suggest just getting a distrobution block. I have a battery in my trunk and one under the hood.. both yellowtops..

run another cable from the - from the front battery to the - in the trunk. after you do that, also ground the trunk battery to the car chasis. that will improve current flow.

current is you best friend.

put a fuse at each end of each batt. only having one fuse is pointless!

Dry Cell :-)

The two wires on the very bottom are from the (+) of the batts.. one on the left if from under the hood and the one on the right is from the one in the trunk.. and yes there is a lot of wiring.. i hooked it up the day of the comp.. then went right back to the hospital and i've been too lazy since to redo wiring/
