I have two assassins and they are awesome. I had them running off of a jbl 600.1 and now a kicker zx750 and they have great sql. You cant go wrong either way
HUGE difference. It seems so perfect with the kx750. it sounded good with the jbl but you could tell the speakers could easily take more. when I upgraded to the kicker the spl became way greater and sq improved also. My volume on the HU was 28 with the JBL and 25 with the Kicker to have equal loudness.
They never heard my ears but I do like to listen loud. I have them in a 2.7 cf sealed box in a little 01 hyundai tiburon hatch. oh yeah, and one of the best things about the ZX750 is that it doesnt make my lights dim. I only have a 90 amp alt, regular cheapy battery, no wiring upgrades, yet when my subs are banging and my lights and a/c are on, no dimming
Truthfully the bass was decent with the JBL, but with the Kicker it is awesome. I listen to mostly rap and I am very satisfied. On about 18 volume(HU goes to 35), bass knob 1/3 the way up, I can hear the bass at the far end of the house. Very satisfied with the spl of two $75 subs (When I bought them.) I was even thinking about making a ported box and hearing them then, would probly sound even better. But with the addition of my HaVoc i dont know how far that will go.
I have 2 assassins with a zx750.1 too. And i will definetly say its a good combo. This is my first sub setup and i would say that at full tilt it does hurt my ears on a couple of songs.
