the type r's will take some power and get loud but the type x's do have higher rated RMS and peak power.i havent owned a type x but i would say u can get it to be louder..

how much power you got, the type r only needs around 500wrms while the tpe x does good with around 1000+.

ya thas wat i tell him..i think hes going too. the main reason he didnt in the begining was because he said he wanted to be able to hit the lows and good sq..i told him he could still have that in a ported box if it was made right and to the specs.

type r's will get louder given the same amount of power...type x's are power hungry crappy sq subs...they dont get that loud at all imo...

Type R is more power efficient. You give 1000w rms to a type X and the sh1t ain't moving.

About the box of the type X, it really sucked IMO and remember the power, if he was giving it 1000w rms the type X was barely moving.

Another plus, is that type Rs are cheap, the X is very expensive for what it does.

i have owned both. the type X does sound cleaner but not by much. don't waste your money on the x and just get the R.

my friend who is here has 2 type r's 2ohm and runnin 300wrms 2 each and hits 141.6db but think that 1 type x will easyly beat that with the right amp and box with it
