That really sucks.... why'd pioneer do that? The Z1 is ridiculous is all aspects, but it's got those sh!tty 2v preouts... I guess I'll prolly go with the eclipse. You have to buy most of the cool sstuff for the Z1 for all of it's features to work... aka blutooth adapter, steeringwheel controls, a bypass, etc...

Does anyone know if you have to bypass the eclipse?

Also, I heard that there was a direct connection for the eclipse to the steering wheel controls is that true?

You could bump em up with a line converter.
I just got a new 5.1 eq, and it has 7 volt outs. The ins are adjustable from 1-7, }

pre-outs confuse the sh!t out of me as well. i mean, yeah, more voltage is better, right? well then why does pioneer use 4v outs in its $1,200 audiophile top of the line cd player?

An EQ is easy to install. Just take the rca front from Hu plug it into the EQ. EQ has front rear Middle, sub rcas out. Just plug em into the diffrent amps running the speakers and your done.
