what sub is it?

for a box you need mdf board (home depot or lowes), you need a box of wood screws, you need liquid nails, and you need caulk.

its just a crappy audiobahn sub i had lying around that im gunna use till i can afford a good quality system

but i guess just like a 1^ft sealed so i dont have to worry about making the port right...i shouldnt need calculations for that right? i mean just cut all sides 12"...?

the board is .75 thick so no.

cut it like this:

(2) 13.5 x 13.5
(2) 12 x 13.5
(2) 12 x 12

Nope ! ^^^

u have 2 account 4 thickness of the wood so if u want 12" then its got 2 be 13.5" since 3/4" mdf is used

another note - i read a loooong time ago u should NEVER build a box with 2 equal sides (something called "standing waves")

ex : do Not use say 20 x 15 x 15 use maybe 20 x 14 x 16

rovin my new box i just made had standing waves or w.e you want to call it calculated in. all boards were different. but i dont feel like drawing up a 1 cuft saeld box right now. those measurements up there should work fine though...

usually when i build boxes i try 2 design it so that 1 side is @ least a whole inch in width difference than the adjoining side

well in some cases u cant help but having 2 sides almost = but i try to get @ least 1 side 1/4" different 4 this reason ......

hmmm well i kinda drew up a sketch of how it would look with measurements and i think i can do it with the:

(2) 13.5 x 13.5
(2) 12 x 13.5
(2) 12 x 12

but im not sure how i could make the sides unequal...? never really done much with building this kind of stuff

thats not correct

try this then

15 wide x 14 tall x 12.5 deep using 0.75" mdf

enter it here http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp

note u will get 1.07 - the .07 extra is for sub displacement ......
