So i wanna buy a dual 12" ported box off EBAY for two assassins. The VAST majority of boxes on EBAY do not specify what they are tuned to.

I mean i know it's not like theres a knob on the box you turn to adjust tuning. The only logical thing i can think of is that it depends on like the dimensions and cubic ft. of space and stuff...so using those specs, is there like a formuala or something for me to figure out what the box is tuned to?

I dont think i can just ask cuz they're like EBAY power sellers who probly aren't gonna answer my question.

Thanks in advance...BAWLIN! (omg that song is like IMBEDDED in my brain right now)

most prefab boxes are tuned high so that they sound louder, not very good SQ.

to figure out tuning theres plenty of calcs. online you can use.

What the box is tuned to is the note the box will peak at. Subs are meant to play at and above the tuning freq. They can also play a little lower, but not too much or the sub will move uncontrolled and could damage it.
