Gold Member Username: CtmikeCt. Post Number: 2453 Registered: Feb-06 | never bought from knu yet but several people i know have, no complaints and great prices. i'd go with a 1/0 gauge kit. |
Gold Member Username: Thomas_gNM Post Number: 2029 Registered: Oct-05 | Thanx bro, damn does it require that much power?? If i have a 60amp AGU fuse now on my 4 gauge, would it be a difference if i put an 80 AGU fuse on it?? |
Gold Member Username: Thomas_gNM Post Number: 2030 Registered: Oct-05 | Would 4 guage work with that amp?? Its a bi*ch cuz where i run my 4 gauge power wire now through my car it barely fits so i doubt 2 gauge would fit let alone 1/0 gauge. Can you or anyone else name other sites where i can get good durable amp kits at a resonable price?? Cuz i noticed that site doesnt have 2 gauge kits. Thanx.... |

Post Number: 2455 Registered: Feb-06 | here's a good link for determining wire gauge: http://memphiscaraudio.com/LiveImages/114/29/DocumentURL.pdf honestly don't know where the cheapest amp kits can be bought, i get hooked up on those locally. but knukoncepts do have the cheapest i've seen online, except ebay. |

Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 3408 Registered: Dec-05 | if i were you i'd run 2 AWG, why, is thicker and will flow more current. I think the 4 AWG can flow 1400w rms or something like that. Remember that your amp is underrated, good amp with good wires= good setup. Knukonceptz has a very good reputation so i'd consider it as a first choice. |
Gold Member Username: Thomas_gNM Post Number: 2031 Registered: Oct-05 | kool thanx guys, and o kool Chauncey i see wut you were sayin, so should i go with 4 gauge?? Thats prob the only size im gonna fit, and one more question, what size of fuse should i get for the wire if im gonna use a NINe.1?? Thanx. |
Platinum Member Username: Chaunb3400Huntsville, Alabama U.S. Post Number: 10249 Registered: Jul-05 | i think the knu kits come with a 150ANL fuse..I THINK??? |
Gold Member Username: Thomas_gNM Post Number: 2032 Registered: Oct-05 | Do you guys think that an 80 amp AGU fuse would work for the NINe.1?? Thanx. |
Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 3412 Registered: Dec-05 | a lil advice, get the biggest one you can hehe, for example i'm running 800w rms and i have a 150A fuse. Just me you know, but that's your choice. |
Gold Member Username: AdddisorderWest palm, Florida Post Number: 1907 Registered: Jan-06 | a nine.1 will pull more then 80 so chances are you fuse will blow. i wouldnt suggest useing 4guage with that amp unless you set the gains with a DMM so it puts out less power like in the 1000rms area. knu's klm 1/0 is only 1.75ft |

Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, OR U.S. Post Number: 4175 Registered: Oct-05 | yea, im alive, lol and TJ, its what you want to do, if ur gonna be runnin test tones etc, your gonna need bigger than a 4 awg. i have ran plenty of 4 awg wires with 1400 watts with no problems for years. so you wont have to worry bout anything. if anything, the difference isnt even noticable when playing music. |
