I have a 50.5x, everything is installed but when I go to arm the alarm it gives me the hood warning beep.
The only connection I can see that would be related to the hood is the gray wire on H3... installer manual says:
H3/4 GRAY (-) hood pinswitch input zone 1 Thie wire MUST be connected to hood pinswitch. This input will disable or shut down the remote start when the hood is opened. It will also triger the security system if the hood is opened while the system is armed and report zone 1.
I've tried to leave it unhooked and also to hook it directly to ground. Either way when I arm my system it flashes HOOD, and it wont let me remote start the car.
Did you use a gromet when going through the firewall? Check to make sure the wire isn't grounding somewhere. The only reason those problems would happen is if that wire is seeing ground.
