yea...
and all it does is take off any changes u made to ya comp every day after the day u choose.
it makes the computer think its that day but it will still have the right date and every thing.
very handy

Don't really want to change it then, because your going to undo everything you've done from then to now. Kinda. But some programs might get uninstalled and stuff. Its just weird, like the icons will still be there but the program won't run. Try downloading windows M/9.

when I mean progrms get uninstalled, its like,if you installed anything between that time to now those programs, not the programs before windows 11. And I meant try downloading WM10 not 9. Its possible. I think it happened to me once when I did a restore to far, it helped but at the sametime messed some things up.

try to see if you can restore to that point (1 year ago) and if things get to messed up, restore your computer back to "today" you can go back and forth no problem.

Windows will only restore back to a specific point. Everytime you install a program windows gereates a "checkpoint" that you can restore back to in case of problems. Bummer is those checkpoints use up hard drive space and windows only allocates so much space for it. If you install alot, chances are you will only be able to go back maybe a couple of months. I keep ignoring my comp everytime it prompts me to make back up disks, something that will bite me the future for sure.:-(

he may have uninstalled it...
put when he installed it the 1st time, they are still registry intreies that shows the older program a newer ver was installed....

I would search the system registry then delete all threads that have windows media player 11 anywhere u see it, after doing a search of all strings....

if u dont know how to use regedit...
then forget everything i said.. lol
