I just got the enclosure finished yesterday. It's meant for the 12" BTL but I don't have an amp to power it yet, so in the meantime, I'm just substituting a RE HC 12". Two different worlds but yea, it's just temporary. The enclosure is fiberglassed at the bottom to fit the mold of the tire well and it was supposed to be 30-40sqin of port area but I ended up getting this instead =(. I'm still talking to the builder on his reasoning for this setup instead. Anyways, here are the pics. I have side by side comparisons of the RE HC and the BTL. I'm saving up $$ for a class D amp to power the BTL. Til then this is what I have.

Oh yea, constuctive criticism encouraged, I need to explain to the builder that the enclosure might not have been built properly. The small port still bothers me. Sounds pretty good at low volumes right now but when I crank it up, it sounds a bit funky on some songs. I'm not sure what the reasoning would be for that. I'm running the Re Hc with a Fosgate P800.2. So a little more than 800rms to it, and my theory for the low output is that maybe the fiberglass isn't completely dry or the small port is restricting the full output.

how big is your box, you should have between 10-15sqin of port per cubic feet, but its almost allways better to go with more.

you had to use the wheel well to fit a single 12 enclosure? I would have made a regular box 2.5 cuft with like 40 sq in of port myself....

the mustang enclosure is really small and I wanted something that would give me more trunk space.

the port area is 4x6in
