James Longo(very trusted member and has a 100% feedback rating, jlongo420) is selling his JL Audio 12W6 and is getting something new. He asked me to make this thread for him so he could get rid of it in time for Christmas.:-)

the 12W6 is Dual 4 ohm, and is in excellent condition, he is a "babyer" like myself and doesn't beat on his equipment, he enjoys it. lol

he is asking $250 plus shipping or best offer(be reasonable here) and he would like to move it rather quickly, so don't be afraid to ask any questions.:-O

Recommended power is 400-600wRMS and will sound incredible and get fairly loud on that power.

go here to see where it placed in the Great 12" Challenge, among other woofers that are nearly triple in price.

Box recommendations are 1.0 - 1.25 sealed
and 1.5 - 1.75 tuned to 32hz for a ported alignment.:-)

the sq on this sub is superb. the sub plays all freqs so well. i was really surprised how well it plays the upper bass frequencies while still hitting the lowwww notes with authorities. jl audio has done a fine job on crating such an awesome sq driver.

this sub will blend in awesome with the mids and highs. get yourself an awesome comp up front and it will be like you are sitting in paradise.

damn i want this sub now. james you take post dated checks????

from the 12" Challenge on ROE

quote:

JL W6v2
Say what you want about CA&E reviewers being idiots (and after reading their "review" of the SI Mag D2, I'm not sure idiot is a strong enough word), but Tom Nousaine was right - this is a damn fine woofer at any cost. It didn't do any one thing perfectly, but it did everything excellently. The timbre and musicality of a single kickdrum was dead-on, as well as the thundering gut-wrenching shake of large orchestral drums. It was just a fun driver to listen to...I even strayed a little from my designated test material to play some KMFDM and Junkie XL, and it performed admirably. Put this in a low-tuned ported enclosure, give it power, and you can't go wrong.

also, here it is in the Top 5 placing among some other woofers that are a LOT higher in price.
Top choices:

1. Aura Sound MR 12.4
2. Stereo Integrity Magnum D2
3. Rainbow Vanadium
4. JL W6v2
5. Stereo Integrity BM/Fi Q -- hard to pick a clear favorite here

Here are some other notes on the driver

I too would like to join the band wagon for the JLW6 12"
After getting it in a jl box, setting up amp, and feeding it ~600 wrms, it deffanetly shames the L7 12". I am noticing diffrent types of bass at diffrent freq's, as compared to the mono-toned slamming of the L7. I want another one now for christmas.

What makes that box 'better' then a homemade?
Not that im against it, but isnt the JL spec ported box the same thing?

the pro wedge is sealed. There isnt anything diff then a GREAT quality home made enclosure. JL just hevily braces them, and makes them with a nice JL logo and finish to them, made to manufac specs to a T:-)
