Power..but no sound

ok, i just hooked up my amp and subs, while i was testing it, the music just shut off, there is power to the amp and everything but no sound...could it be a bad amp?

or jus a loose speaker wire somewhere... check everything, make sure the amp isnt in protect. cause of too low of a load impedence...

is the ohm load stable on amp? the amp could have gone into protection..

the protections light isnt on, i checked the speaker wires from speakers and to the amp, the rca cables are all hooked up, i cant figure it out,it was working fine and i turned it upo a little and the sounds shut off

its in a 2000 jeep cherokee laredo with a stock head unit.. i spliced in a ''periphial'' line output converter to the rear speakers, im thinkin that might be the problem
