HELP!!!

i have an ED nine.1 running at 2 ohms (900 watts)

eveerytime i replace the 80 amp inline fuse, i turn my car on, turn my head unit on, and the fuse blows, no matter what. last night i went through 6 fuses, same thing everytime. what do i do/

use a larger fuse? No, for real, sounds like a dead short on the rem wire. Use a DMM and check for shorts on or around the amps rem, and power connections. If its shorting when you turn the HU on, then it could be the rem. Disconect it, jump the rem from the power and see if it still shorts.

wow think you would have relized somethings wrong befor you blew all 6 fuses!

anyway. check you power wire for any shorts or any damage to it. make sure you have tight connections everywhere. and youll pobly want to get a bigger fuse assuming your running 4guage id get like a 150a fuse.

well...its even blowing with hardly any current draw..i dont get it..

and it has been working perfectly for like 3 weeks.,..just randomly happened

then youve got to have a short somewhere or something. thats werid. definatly check all connections and grounds and stuff and hopefully youll find somethign

sounds like it's internal... what impedance do u have it wired with the subs?

what brand of woofers and coil impedance and if they r series or parallel... check the woofers with a multi meter also... i'll check back on this one... i have to know the woofers because current can make a coil act like a fuse, thus a faulty coil can be a problem as well...

diamond D3 subs 2 dual 2 ohm subs wired to 2 ohms, all wiring is perfect
