Just wondering if you think I'll have an arc across the power to the ground.. they are not super close but I want to be on the safe side.

u should be fine as long as u dont run some huge power through them( i mean a lot like not the power from a car lol) lol. I used to love doing the arcs in electrical clas in hs

I can black tape the bolt part but if i were to tape the part where the wire connects the connection would not be as good.. suppose i could cut it to work.. might tape it as a second precaution but the main question was about it arcing..

there is a point where it is about a 1/4" maybe less.. think 14.4volts can art that?

They wont arc unless the amp smokes.

not a chance of arcing. just look at a spark plug. It takes tens of thousands of volt just to jump the small gap in a plug.

tens of thousands??? a spark plug doesn't use that much electricity....I've been shocked once by accidently having my hand on the spark plug when someone spun the mangeto...and yeah, it does hurt, but I don't think it was "tens-of-shousands" of volts.

" the magnetic field causes a surge of high voltage (as much as 40,000 volts) in the coil's secondary windings. The high voltage passes to the distributor, then on to the spark plugs where it jumps the plug gap and fires the plugs."

Its not volts that counts. Its the amperes that hurt.

Its both! 12 volt car battery has about 500 amps and wont hurt you
A 500 volt 12 amp source would kill you.
Car coil is 30,000. volts with .001 amps. Wont kill you but bring it up to 1 amp and your dead.

NO BLACK TAPE....'cause you will lose BLING:-):-):-):-):-)

BTW & FYI, it's not just the amps or just the volts that count - read my lips girls: IT'S THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE BOTH - WATTS. Just like in an audio system, getting it loud is not only about large drivers or only about powerful amps it's both.
Pls understand that it takes power to kill somebody and power is watts, however, marc is right about the tens of thousands of volts in a spark plug.

idk what terminals they are.. later ill look at the packages and post it.. just picked up up at a local audio place.. figured since the amp would be mounted upward i needed something that would put the wire are a 90 degree angle to the amp.

i wanted to run straight 1/0 to the amp and this was the only way i could do it due to space limitations.. i was not settling for a short piece of 4 gauge

if ur worried tape it if ur not leave it lol. But ya it is amps that kill you. But it is under 1 amp that it starts getting serious and fatal all depends on the settings and who it is

It takes the Voltage to go through you're body. higher voltage means it will overcome the reisitance in you're body easier and allow more amperage through.

It takes only 100mA to stop your heart.
