Gold Member Username: DrsmithMontana USA Post Number: 1535 Registered: Nov-04 | no i dont think there is a termlab in this state but dont get your hopes up 150 is not easy to hit and with only 800 wrms i dont see it happening |
Bronze Member Username: Volfenhagking1600Atlanta, Georgia USA Post Number: 76 Registered: Oct-06 | well we will see...my buddy had some of these with a smaller amp and they told him they were being underpowered so i got a bigger amp and they definetely are louder |
Bronze Member Username: Volfenhagking1600Atlanta, Georgia USA Post Number: 77 Registered: Oct-06 | is there a way you can judge decibels by ear..no probably not huh |
Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Huntsville, Alabama U.S. Post Number: 9678 Registered: Jul-05 | nope...but 150 will hurt really really bad also its really hard to hit 150 listing to music..i think the record is in the mid 150's bassrace(somebody correct me if im wrong) also 150 is impossible with a stock charging system |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Try Google Post Number: 7635 Registered: Aug-05 | 150 is indeed impossible with a stock charging system, b/c most charging systems won't allow anymore than say 500-600wRMS before they are struggling, and that is on big truck alt's. lol also, with only 2 2 12's and 800wRMS, not happening, try 2 12's(Treo SSX's) on 4000+wRMS...that will do 150, but not playing music, test tone only, now tell me you are hitting 150... this car has 2 high excursion, high power handling subs WALLED with 4000+wRMS and hits 152 witha TEST TONE, and you hit 150 with 2 12" Volf's on 800wRMS on a stock charging system with music??? b.s. |
Gold Member Username: B101USA Post Number: 3700 Registered: Sep-05 | nice pics muddy yepp. 2 of those will get the job done! 12s! |
Bronze Member Username: Volfenhagking1600Atlanta, Georgia USA Post Number: 78 Registered: Oct-06 | i dont have a stock charging system |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Try Google Post Number: 7649 Registered: Aug-05 | it wouldn't matter if you did or not. 2 12's(especially Volf's) in a reg box with 800wRMS is not going anywhere NEAR a 150... |
Bronze Member Username: Volfenhagking1600Atlanta, Georgia USA Post Number: 79 Registered: Oct-06 | how many dbs makes your vision blur when you look at things |
Bronze Member Username: Volfenhagking1600Atlanta, Georgia USA Post Number: 80 Registered: Oct-06 | well i havent got tested yet but i will try in a couple weeks...but my buddy has gotten tested before and he hit 150.3 with 2 volfs, and a 200 A alternator and red top battery |
Gold Member Username: BestmankindBTLUSA Post Number: 6527 Registered: Oct-05 | 150 is no joke. i don't know why a few people on this forum claims 150 whenever they want to say how loud their sub is. your vision blurring isn't even an issue when you are hitting 150. you literally have to hold your breathe cause you can't breathe. well my ear is almost as exact as a tl mic and i am hitting 160.3 db. i win. |
Gold Member Username: DrsmithMontana USA Post Number: 1536 Registered: Nov-04 | i have heard 150 on music (well he claimed that) but it took 4 W7's 12"s and a JL 1000/1 a piece in a reg cab truck and the subs were in the box of the truck with a cut out connecting them to the cab firing directly into the truck right behind the seats, it was painful and did way more then blur my vision |
Silver Member Username: Bump05Hesperia, CA USA Post Number: 138 Registered: Aug-06 | I actually heard 2 15's of the volf's and and a volf amp and they get decent but no where near 150's he had them in a 8 cubic box ported to 38hz it was alright saw it at my local car shop but my l7's blow on that and im not 150's |
Bronze Member Username: Volfenhagking1600Atlanta, Georgia USA Post Number: 81 Registered: Oct-06 | dont they only make 15's in the shiney brand? |
