Idk what happened but I just posted this and it was already deleted? There is a show this Sunday at Texas Motorplex in Ennis Texas but I'm not aware of the time for entries and show. Does anyone know or have a link? This was just an email from a friend letting me know. I've never been to a USACi show and I don't know what class I'd be in..

Anyone know?

(1) RE SX 15"
Recoil 1000.1 (rated 350rms @ 4 ohm)
Stock electrical

USACi is going thru alot of BS right now...the head guy (Ralph) is pushing a new class structure, but from what i have seen the majority of competitors dont like it...including me.

The new ratings were supposed to going into effect this week, but i think it may have been delayed.

The show you are going to will prolly judge under the old system...you should be in Super Stock 301-900w.

If they are using the new rattings, Stock 0-600w.

Alot of people are trying to push a max RMS rating system into effect...i personally would LOVE to see it go thru. As the ratings stand now, its 4ohm ratings and favors amps rated at lower loads.

EX...(new/old use ratings 4ohm)

IA 20.1----450w (1800wrms @1ohm)
KX1200.1---450w (4ohm power tested and rerated by USACi)
crossfire 1000d---300w (1000wrms @1ohm)
recoil 1000.1---350w
Crossfire 2000d---1000w (rated 2000wrms @ 2ohm)
MMATS 3500.05---450w (2700wrms @ .5ohm)
zx1500.1---750w (1500wrms @ 2ohm)

as you can see the amps rated at lower loads have a HUGE advantage.

Alot of people want to see amps rated according to max rated RMS power....no matter that load. That way you will see 1000w vs 1000w.

ex...
zx1000.1 and crossfire 1000d will be rated the same

oh...the MMATS 3500.05 is actually rated at 380w @4ohm by USACi under the current rules...not 450w.

damn.. im wondering if i should go or not.. there are two comps on sunday .. one is usaci and the other is tbp .. wonder if i can manage to go to both..

still thinking 145s won't place for the usaci event.. i'll prolly end up hooking that 35.1 up this weekend so i might be able to compete with the other amps .. just can't go down lowered than 1 ohm due to my sub.. wonder how much scott would charge to swap coils to dual 1ohm
