12 volt battery

I have 2 6 volt batteries.How would I hook them up to the amp to make a 12 volt?

Just don't wire the batteries direcly to the speakers and you should be fine:-)

AJ, that is the correct wiring, as in series. However, if you do exactly as you posted, those batteries will never get charged by the alternator.
For best result, you need isolator, then connect the 2 6v batteries to it. The neg should be connected to the car's chassis, and the neg on the amp should come from the car's chassis as well.

u cant put the live and ground as one because u will burn battery out u will burn your amp out because ur sending a live to amp and live to body Like WTF ?

well Isaac woundnt it be easy to earth the battery and run the live to the amp from the amp cuss it will power the baettery on car and the ones too amp ?
