im looking at the premier cd players

the dehp680mp and the step above, the dehp780mp

the differences

the step up has a 16 band EQ (more tuning) and it has "slope" highpass rear and front filters

the lowr version has a 7 band EQ and only one filter for all 4 speakers, and no slope feature.

is the one above worth the extra?

Yes, the 780 is worth the extra few bucks you'll pay.

the 780 has higher volt outputs and comes with double the warranty period than the 7800

the best thing put in the higher-end models of Hu's. lol

Digital to Analog Converters.:-)

they take the digital data on the CD and convert it to analog and send that signal to the speakers...the more data is can convert at one time, the more full and detailed the music will be.:-)
