I am looking to buy a new QUALITY amp. My Sony Xplode amp failed, and since then I haven't heard good things about their amps. I have 2 Sony 12" 4 ohm single voice coil subwoofers that can hanlde 380w RMS. I am not sure what brands are reputable or which model is the best for my sub's. I don't want to have to keep buying new amps. Thanks!

I can afford anything up to $400. Fortunately I was able to return the Sony. And wouldn't the Kicker ZX750.1 not have enough power? I've been told that it is better to overpower than underpower an amp. Thanks!

The kicker would do real good. it is underrated and puts out 100w rms or so more than rated.

juliob, I know you know car audio pretty decently. Why in the world would you suggest that audiobahn amp when she has the budget to get the kicker. Kicker= more power and better quality. Yes she doesnt have the best subs but, what if she goes and upgrades. then she would be stuck with the audiobahn amp.
Jenny, do it right the first time.

Ok, I'll do it right the first time and get the Kicker. I forgot that Class D amps are usually underated anyway. It's to late for me to return the subs so I'm stuck with them, unfortunatley. But if I were too upgrade in the future what would you reccommend? Thank you guy's for your help!

there is alot of factors that would need to be known, such as budget. are you looking to just be loud or do you want sound quality or a mix of both.

Jenny

The Kicker ZX750.1 is ($269.99 at woofersetc.com)
it is a good amp it pushes out over 900 watts just keep the gain under control and it will sound great.
