Looking for advice on what brand/model 5x7's to mount in a 2001 F150 x-cab. I've been looking at the infinity kappa's, JLaudio XR570, and the Boston SL80's. Power will be supplied by an Xtant 4x50 rms
honestly? forget 5x7" totally crap speaker size. go with a good 5.25" round coaxial or component set. you can fit that easily into teh same opening.. it's only an eighth of an inch bigger on either side. easy to fit that into the same holes.

Go with the SL80s. Glasswolf obviously has no idea what the SL80's are. They are equiped with a 6" driver, and of course the tweeter, which is far better than a 5.25. So if you want the a great 5X7 that will murder any 5.25 or 5.5, as well as any conventional 5X7, you can not beat the SL80.

what about the MB Quart RCE 268 speakers. Those would be a lot better than infinity.
