once the ohms & wattage match up yes u can do it

say ur amp does 1000wrms @ 1ohm then u can use (4) 2ohms dvc subs which r 2500wrms each & ur good 2 go

use this wiring guide
http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html?subs =1 ......

ok what if i get 2 L7's that are 2 ohm and hook them up to a kicker kx2500.1. would this amp blow the subs because the rms wattage is more than the sub rms??? should i get a smaller amp that is around the same wattage but not over?

what l7s?? 15?? if they're 15 then you're good to go.

If they're 12 then you should turn the GAIN down

hook up a capacitor directly from the battery to the amp

no dont use a cap. unless you have a high output alternator and the Big 3.

yea that's true. A high capacitance capacitor can end up draining the battery more
